Erdoğan: Recognition of Palestine is the top item on the agenda in talks with international counterparts

Erdoğan stated, "I am also extremely pleased with Spain's decision to recognise Palestine as an independent state."

President Erdoğan said, "Recognition of the state of Palestine and putting an end to the massacre in Gaza is the top item on the agenda in talks with international counterparts."

According to Anadolu Agency, Tayyip Erdoğan claimed that Gaza has witnessed the most vile genocide of the 21st century since October 7th, in plain view of the global community. Moreover, Erdoğan noted that Israel's military and logistical support providers share equal responsibility for the bloodshed in Gaza.

President Erdoğan of Türkiye asserted that Hamas had accepted the cease-fire offer extended by Israel, despite the latter maintaining an inconsistent stance. However, this was still not enough to appease the Israeli government, which struck Rafah, the last remaining civilian shelter, thus showing its true colours and unwillingness to bring an end to the conflict.
