According to the Report Agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in his speech at the 12th Summit Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS) held in Gabala, said that it is important for the OTS to adopt a stance on the wars and conflicts in neighbouring regions.
The Turkish leader, emphasising that he does not regard the OTS as a closed-off institution, said, "We must present our own perspective within the framework of cooperation with other institutions. As I expressed at the recent OTS summit meetings, we are ready to contribute to cooperation in all areas, particularly in security cooperation. I regard the meeting of the OTS Defence Industry institutions held in July as a significant step in this direction.
It is important for the OTS to adopt a stance on the numerous wars and conflicts occurring in neighbouring regions today. We believe that a two-state solution in Gaza would be just. This is necessary for ensuring security in our region. Additionally, the progress achieved in Syria also gives us reason to look to the future with hope."
