During a visit to one of the earthquake-affected regions, the President of Türkiye praised the speed with which Türkiye's executive bodies moved, emphasising that thousands of houses would be constructed for earthquake victims.
The President of Türkiye said in a statement on Sunday that the country quickly deployed all of its institutions, forces, and resources to the affected regions following the earthquake in the country's southern provinces, and the country's performance was very rapid.
On his visit to the earthquake zone in Samandağ, Hatay, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye reportedly said, "No one should have any doubt that all the means of the country and the nation have been mobilised for the earthquake zone."
"We have sent the military, police, gendarmerie, healthcare and education professionals, and all relevant institution facilities, as well as all vehicles, from aircraft to helicopters to ships, to assist our earthquake victims," added Erdoğan.
President of Türkiye said, "No country can move as rapidly as Türkiye in the face of such a disaster, where the death toll exceeded 48 thousand, the number of injured exceeded 115 thousand, and the number of buildings destroyed reached 50 thousand."
Erdoğan said the government plans to complete the construction of 240 thousand residences and 75 thousand village houses in Hatay within a year.
