President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye strongly condemned Israel's attack on Iran. According to the statement released by the Turkish Presidential Office, Erdoğan said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has once again shown that he is "the greatest threat to the security of the region." It was stated that Erdoğan would continue his efforts to end the cycle of violence.
Israel says that the attacks are aimed at preventing Iran from building a nuclear bomb. However, Tehran emphasises that its nuclear programme serves only civilian purposes.
