Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that Israel did not allow Ankara to send container homes to Gaza to house Palestinians.
Erdoğan stated, “The condition of those children on television screens, in tents that look like anything but proper shelters, exposed to wind, rain, and mud, surely will not allow Netanyahu’s actions to go unaccounted for. We are doing everything we can. Can you even imagine? We want to send containers, but he does not allow it. Because his approval is required for this to happen. Through these containers, we could have saved our Palestinian brothers and sisters in Gaza. But unfortunately, we have not been able to do this, and we still cannot. But, sooner or later, we will hopefully rescue those oppressed people from this suffering.”
Erdoğan went on to say, “So far, as Türkiye, we have not left Gaza alone, we have not left Palestine alone, and from now on, neither Gaza nor Palestine will be left alone. As Türkiye and as the Islamic world, we will continue to stand by Palestine and Gaza, making every possible effort and, hopefully, sustaining our unity of strength. With the permission of Allah, everything will be very different and much stronger in 2026. In particular, Netanyahu’s actions will not go unaccounted for.”
