President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye made statements regarding the friendly match between Konyaspor and the Palestine National Football Team in Konya.
According to Crossmedia.az, Erdoğan said that the match, played at the 42,000-capacity stadium, was a demonstration of the spirit of brotherhood, solidarity and unity between Türkiye and Palestine.
President Erdoğan conveyed his greetings to the Palestinian footballers and the Palestinian people and thanked the fans from Konya who filled the stadium.
Erdoğan stated that the match in Konya had drawn attention to the Palestinian issue and once again brought what is happening in Gaza to the attention of the international community.
Erdoğan stressed that Türkiye would continue to stand in solidarity with the people of Palestine and Gaza and to defend their rights on international platforms.
