President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye commemorated his counterpart who lost his life in a helicopter crash.
In a message he issued on the martyrdom of President Raisi of the Islamic Republic of Iran after the helicopter he was travelling in came down, President Erdoğan said “Türkiye will stand with its neighbor Iran during these tragic and difficult times.''
“As a counterpart, who personally witnessed his efforts for the peace of the Iranian people and our region during his time in office, I remember President Raisi with respect and gratitude” President Erdoğan noted in his message.
