President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye stated that he expects the Gaza negotiations being conducted in Egypt to conclude positively.

Addressing the ruling Justice and Development Party deputies, President Erdoğan said, "A ceasefire and a just peace are the most reasonable options for those who support a solution. Today's negotiations in Sharm El-Sheikh are of critical importance. We anticipate positive news from there. We will never leave our Palestinian brothers alone in this process."

The President proceeded with his address by delineating the assignment of the obligation to secure peace to Hamas as unfair and said, "We actively support U.S. President Donald Trump's peace efforts. We maintain continuous communication with our Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Director of the Turkish National Intelligence Organisation. Hamas, by demonstrating a positive response to the peace plan proposed by Trump, clearly exhibited its intention for peace. However, placing the entire burden of achieving peace on Hamas and the Palestinians would be unfair, wrong, and unrealistic."

Erdoğan pointed out that Israel's ongoing attacks, despite Trump's calls, are the biggest obstacle to peace, stating, "Israel is undermining the positive atmosphere. If peace is genuinely sought, Israeli attacks must be ceased without delay."
