Erdoğan evaluates Gaza meeting with Trump: Very productive and positive (WNP)

A news report from Anadolu Agency stated that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye described the meeting between Muslim leaders and US President Donald Trump on Tuesday regarding the Gaza Strip as "very productive and successful."

Following the meeting, Erdoğan made statements to journalists in New York, remarking that a joint declaration would be issued from the meeting and that he was "satisfied" with the outcome, but did not provide details.

The President of Türkiye urged other nations to recognise the state of Palestine and to promptly implement a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip during his speech at the UN General Assembly prior to this event. He said, "A genocide has been going on in Gaza; even as we meet, civilians are being slaughtered."

In recent weeks, Türkiye has called for Israel to be removed from international organisations, including the UN General Assembly.
