Addressing the International Donors' Conference for Türkiye and Syria held in Brussels, via videoconference, Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that the cost of devastation caused by the earthquakes that struck southeastern Türkiye on February 6 has reached 104 billion dollars.
Stating that the earthquakes caused extensive destruction and substantial loss of life in 11 provinces home to 14 million citizens, Erdoğan said: “Over 51 thousand people died and more than 105 thousand people were injured. Preliminary information indicates that the damage caused by the quakes has exceeded 104 billion dollars.”
