The Presidency's Directorate of Communications announced on the X social media platform that Türkiye's President Recep Erdoğan, in a phone conversation with Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, condemned all forms of attacks that violate Qatar's sovereignty.
The Directorate's post on X indicates that Erdoğan and Al Thani discussed bilateral relations and regional developments in the Middle East. During their conversation, Erdoğan said, "Türkiye condemns all forms of attacks that violate Qatar's sovereignty. Our country will always stand by its Qatari brothers."
According to BTA, Erdoğan also expressed his hope that Israel and Iran would adhere to the de facto ceasefire and that the peace achieved would be sustained.
Following the assault by U.S. forces on three nuclear facilities in Iran on the night of June 22, Iranian forces targeted the U.S. Al Udeid airbase in Qatar on June 23.
