President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye strongly condemned the assassination attempt on former U.S. President Donald Trump. Erdoğan stated that Türkiye would continue to stand by the people of the United States, a friend and ally.
Erdoğan shared the following on social media: "I strongly condemn the assassination attempt against the 45th President of the United States and presidential candidate, Mr. Donald Trump. I extend my warmest wishes to Mr. Trump, his family, and his supporters. I believe that the investigation into this attack will be conducted in the most effective manner to ensure that the perpetrators and instigators are brought to justice as soon as possible, so as not to cast a shadow over the US elections and global stability. Türkiye stands by the people of the United States, a friend and ally.”
