President Kassym Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan was awarded Türkiye's highest order of state. According to MIR 24, the award was presented by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The Kazakh leader expressed his gratitude to his Turkish counterpart for the award and highlighted Erdoğan's personal contribution to strengthening relations between the two countries. Tokayev also described Erdoğan as one of the world's most esteemed statesmen. According to the President of Kazakhstan, the order has become a symbol of friendship among countries that share common historical roots, religion, and nationality.
The President of Kazakhstan paid an official visit to Türkiye. The state leaders discussed ways to strengthen cooperation. As a result of the talks, the parties signed a total of 18 agreements. Additionally, a 90-day visa-free travel policy was introduced for citizens of both countries to promote tourism.
