Erdoğan and Aliyev inaugurate new international airport (Bulgaria)

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan inaugurated a new international airport in the city of Lachin in Western Azerbaijan as part of the celebrations for Independence Day of Azerbaijan on May 28.

The opening ceremony in Lachin was attended by Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu; Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar; Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler; Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat; Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı; the Presidency's Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun; and numerous Turkish MPs and officials.

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, President Erdoğan and President Aliyev were presented with the symbolic keys to the airport, toured the new complex, and engaged in a brief one-on-one discussion.
