President al-Sisi of Egypt held a phone call with Erdoğan, the re-elected President of Türkiye on 29th of May. According to a statement by Egypt Presidential Office, al-Sisi congratulated Erdoğan and the two leaders agreed to upgrade diplomatic ties immediately and reinstate ambassadors.
