President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye, who held a phone call with President Vladimir Putin of Russia, congratulated Putin on his birthday and stated that bilateral talks are developing and strengthening.
According to a statement released by the Republic of Türkiye, Directorate of Communications; "President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with President Vladimir Putin of Russia. During the call, relations between Türkiye and Russia, as well as regional and global issues, were discussed. Pointing out that strengthening and enhancement of Turkish-Russian relations is pleasing, President Erdoğan expressed that high-level political dialogue will persist. President Erdoğan also stated that they will continue to discuss regional and global matters in detail on various occasions in the upcoming period.
Turkish President Erdoğan sincerely congratulated President Putin on his 72nd birthday during the call, the Kremlin said earlier.
