The 2024 China (Ningxia)-Türkiye Commercial and Economic Cooperation Meeting, organised by the Ningxia Investment Promotion Bureau, was held online on November 20th.
More than 50 companies from Ningxia and Türkiye participated in the event, focusing on areas such as machinery manufacturing, energy, and chemistry.
Prior to the meeting, the Ningxia Investment Promotion Bureau focused on products in areas such as renewable energy, biomedicals, and machinery manufacturing while communicating with relevant parties in Türkiye to learn about the cooperation needs of the participating companies.
During the meeting, the Ningxia Investment Promotion Bureau introduced the development of priority sectors and commercial cooperation with Türkiye in recent years.
Various associations and companies from Türkiye made presentations at the event. Furthermore, six Chinese and Turkish companies also made exclusive presentations.
A total of 23 business meetings were held between 18 Ningxia companies and 12 Turkish companies. During the meetings, agreements were reached on areas such as renewable energy, machinery and equipment production, new chemical materials, and technical cooperation.
Ningxia has also intensified its trade and economic cooperation with Türkiye in recent years, resulting in a rise in the volume of exports and imports to Türkiye, as China-Türkiye trade relations have developed swiftly. Ningxia's trade volume with Türkiye increased by 50.1 per cent in the first 10 months of 2024 compared to the previous year, ultimately reaching 145 million yuan.
