CATL will establish a partnership with Turkish electric vehicle company Togg for the production of electric vehicles.
Chinese electric vehicle battery manufacturer CATL said in a statement on Thursday that it will cooperate with Turkish electric vehicle manufacturer Togg to develop vehicles using the Panshi EV chassis platform, marking the first international application of this Chinese technology.
CATL announced that this partnership will enable the production of three vehicle models and that the first mass production is targeted to begin in 2027.
The agreement in question signals that CATL is expanding beyond battery supply into the development of overseas vehicle platforms. The company, which is listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, is expanding its technological reach in international automotive manufacturing.
