Cappadocia has become the fourth destination in Türkiye to be included in the Michelin Guide, following İstanbul, İzmir and Muğla. In the 2026 selection, 18 restaurants from the region were included in the list. The development was first announced in November 2025 by Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, and the official declaration was made at a ceremony held in Istanbul on 4 December 2025. Nationwide, 54 new restaurants were included in the 2026 guide, according to the announcement.
The list features venues of varying concepts, ranging from fine dining restaurants to family-run businesses and women’s cooperatives. Some restaurants were awarded the Green Star in recognition of their commitment to sustainable production practices and the use of local organic ingredients.
Together, İstanbul, İzmir, Muğla, and Cappadocia offer a broad diversity, reflecting more than 25 different cuisines of Türkiye’s gastronomy.
