The Presidency's Directorate of Communications stated that the allegations made against Türkiye by the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were intended to legitimise Israel's unlawful attacks targeting Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In a statement issued Wednesday via the Turkish social media platform "NSosyal", the Directorate of Communications emphasised that the accusations against Türkiye in the Israeli Prime Minister's statement stem from Netanyahu's intention to continue his expansionist policies, which are destabilising the region, ahead of the Israeli elections scheduled for next October.
The Directorate of Communications underscored that Türkiye, like the vast majority of the international community, supports the establishment of lasting peace in the Middle East.
The Directorate of Communications added, "The only way to achieve this is for Netanyahu to abandon his aggressive policies and respect international law.”
The statement further stressed:
"Türkiye will resolutely continue to cooperate with the Syrian Government on a legitimate basis to establish security, stability and prosperity in Syria and will not allow Syria's stability to be undermined in any way.”
