Presidency's Head of Communications, Fahrettin Altun, commented on the developments in the north of Syria, stating that the efforts of some groups, led by anti-Turkish circles, to disrupt the country's peace will fail.
Altun posted on his social media account, saying, "The negative atmosphere that has been attempted to be established in public opinion over Syrian asylum-seekers for a while and the provocations that cause an increase in tension are closely monitored."
Stating that the efforts of some groups, led by anti-Turkish circles, to disrupt the country's peace will fail thanks to the devoted work of the state with all its resources, Altun said, "Our state's relevant units continue to work on a 24-hour basis, coordinated by the Directorate of Communications, against unfounded allegations put forward on many social media platforms, fake news made deliberately with manipulated information, and all disinformation activities that will provoke our citizens."
In addition, Altun asked the public to exercise caution by focusing only on reliable sources, saying, "To support these efforts, as always, we kindly request our citizens to not lend credit to unfounded news, to consider the aspect and possibility of disinformation in the dissemination of content, and to focus only on reliable sources, especially those provided by our official government sources."
