President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received President Nechirvan Barzani of the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government (IKRG) on the sidelines of the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
The meeting addressed recent developments in the region.
Stating that the conflict process triggered by unlawful attacks against Iran has strained the entire region, President Erdoğan emphasized that Türkiye’s efforts, together with relevant countries, to bring the war to a complete end and achieve lasting peace will continue to increase.
Noting that separatist scenarios in Iran would serve no one’s interests, President Erdoğan stressed that maintaining stability in Iraq under all circumstances is critical.
President Erdoğan further stated that developments in the Strait of Hormuz have highlighted the importance of diversifying oil supply routes and once again demonstrated the significance of the Development Road Project. President Erdoğan added that accelerating the project's processes would benefit all parties.
