President Erdoğan, President Biden of the U.S. talk over phone

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with President Joe Biden of the United States of America (U.S.).

The call addressed the Türkiye-U.S. bilateral relations, the Gaza issue, the prisoner exchange that has taken place in Türkiye as well as regional and global developments.

President Erdoğan underscored that the Netanyahu administration has shown at every step that it does not aim for ceasefire or peace, that the scenes at the U.S. House of Representatives have caused a deep disappointment in Türkiye and the world, that the assassination carried out against Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh has dealt a heavy blow to the ceasefire efforts, and that Israel seeks to spread the fire in Gaza to the entire region.

President Erdoğan noted that Türkiye does and will continue to do his part in order for the Türkiye-U.S. relations to be improved in every area.

President Biden of the U.S., for his part, thanked President Erdoğan for the efforts he has made in order for the prisoner exchange to be carried out without any problems.
