President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan on the sidelines of the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF2026).
The leaders addressed bilateral relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, as well as regional and global issues.
Stating that we are determined to deepen our cooperation with Azerbaijan in the fields of trade, energy, and the defence industry and to take our relations to higher levels, President Erdoğan added that we believe this can be achieved through new steps to be taken.
Emphasizing that, as Türkiye and Azerbaijan, we are jointly experiencing the negative effects of the war in Iran, that we are managing the developments with prudence and composure, President Erdoğan noted that Türkiye's efforts to ensure the process results in peace are ongoing.
Underscoring that Türkiye welcomes the steps taken towards lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, President Erdoğan said that, as Türkiye, we will continue to support this process.
