Presidency’s Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran shared his views on the visit of President Abdourahamane Tchiani of Niger to Türkiye and his meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in a post on his NSosyal account.
In his post, Head of Communications Duran stated:
“The meetings held between President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President Abdourahamane Tchiani of Niger are significant in demonstrating the level that relations between Türkiye and Africa have reached. Relations, which have developed in recent years based on mutual trust, sincerity and a shared understanding of development, continue to produce tangible results in our cooperation with Niger as well.
The issues discussed across a wide range of fields, including defence, security, energy, mining, trade, education and health, demonstrate that the partnership between the two countries is taking on a more strategic nature. The agreements signed and the shared commitment displayed by both sides indicate that bilateral relations will continue to grow stronger in the period ahead.
One of the most notable aspects of Türkiye’s relations with Niger is the extensive support it provides across a wide range of areas, including education, healthcare, development, and humanitarian aid. This approach is a tangible reflection of the principles of mutual benefit and shared development that underpin Türkiye’s relations with its friendly and brotherly African countries.
Under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Türkiye’s Africa policy will continue to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation with the countries of the continent. I hope that this meaningful visit will further strengthen relations between the two countries.”
