The Presidency's Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, stated in a post on his NSosyal account that 21 September, the International Day of Peace, serves as a reminder of the ongoing suffering in Gaza, emphasising that standing for justice, conscience and peace is a shared responsibility of humanity.
In the post, Head of Communications Duran said:
"21 September, the International Day of Peace, first and foremost brings Gaza to mind.
In Gaza, where the most fundamental values of humanity are being put to a severe test, our shared responsibility in the face of the suffering endured by children, women and innocent civilians is to stand for justice, conscience and peace.
Heeding the voice of the oppressed, placing human life above all other considerations, and upholding justice for all are indispensable for building a more liveable world.
Under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Türkiye will continue to stand with those subjected to injustice and oppression, wherever they may be in the world, to make full use of all the avenues of diplomacy, and to strive for a more just world.
We envision a world where the guns fall silent, justice and conscience prevail, and no child is forced to grow up in the shadow of war, oppression and genocide."
