Head of Communications Duran: “Türkiye will continue to play a central role in diplomacy”

Presidency's Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran shared a post on his NSosyal account regarding President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's diplomatic engagements within the framework of the NATO Heads of State and Government Summit.

In his post, Head of Communications Duran said:

"Today, we accompanied President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during his diplomatic engagements at the NATO Heads of State and Government Summit.

During the meetings held at the Presidential Complex with the President of the United States, Donald Trump, the Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney, and the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, the leaders comprehensively discussed the development of bilateral relations, the strengthening of cooperation in the defence industry, and joint efforts in the fields of trade, energy, and security, as well as regional and global developments.

President Erdoğan has once again reaffirmed his firm stance on Türkiye’s diplomatic efforts to promote regional peace and stability, on securing a lasting ceasefire in Gaza, and on resolving the Russia–Ukraine war and the situation between Iran and the US through dialogue. The development of cooperation in the defence industry was also among the key topics discussed.

President Erdoğan and First Lady Emine Erdoğan hosted a reception and an official dinner at the Presidential Complex in honour of the heads of state and government and their spouses who are in Ankara for the Summit. The programme made a significant contribution to strengthening the sincere dialogue between leaders and the spirit of solidarity among allies.

Under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Türkiye will continue with determination to play a central role in diplomacy, to strengthen cooperation with its allies, and to contribute to regional and global peace.”
