Türkiye and Armenia are committed to normalizing their relations "without preconditions". According to Anadolu Agency, this statement was made by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia during a phone conversation on Tuesday.
Directorate of Communications of the Repulic of Türkiye stated, "The two leaders underscored their political will to fully normalize the relations between Türkiye and Armenia without preconditions."
Erdoğan and Pashinyan highlighted the importance of the continuation of the talks between the two countries' special envoys and reaffirmed the points agreed upon thus far.
During the phone conversation, Prime Minister Pashinyan congratulated President Erdoğan on Eid al-Adha, and President Erdoğan congratulated Prime Minister Pashinyan on the upcoming Vardavar.
The Turkish President also conveyed his condolences to Prime Minister Pashinyan over the recent flood disaster in Armenia's northern regions.
"The leaders also gladly noted the ongoing dialogue between high-ranking officials of Türkiye and Armenia. They discussed the recent developments in the region and the international agenda as well," said the statement.
