Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte of Italy will pay a working visit to Turkey on January 13, 2020 at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. All aspects of the bilateral relations between Turkey and Italy will be reviewed and possible steps for the further strengthening of cooperation between the two countries will be discussed during the visit, which will be the first visit Prime Minister Conte pays to Turkey since coming into office. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. During the call, regional issues particularly Libya was discussed.

President Erdoğan issued a message of condolence for Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said of Oman. President Charles Michel of the European Council will pay a working visit to Turkey on January 11, 2020.
