President Erdoğan, German Chancellor Merkel talk over the phone

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan talked to German Chancellor Angela Merkel over the phone.  During the conversation, they discussed the latest developments in Idlib and the Syrian crisis, as well as cooperation on regional issues and fields of joint activity.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the US President Donald Trump talked over the phone.  During the conversation, regional issues, primarily the recent developments in Idlib, were discussed as well as bilateral issues.  President Erdoğan reminded during the conversation that due response was given to the perpetrators of the heinous attack targeting gallant Turkish soldiers, and reconfirmed Turkey’s determination to cleanse the area designated by Sochi Memorandum of regime elements.  The two leaders agreed that additional steps should be taken as soon as possible to avoid the major humanitarian catastrophe in Idlib.
