President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. During the conversation, Ilham Aliyev extended his congratulations to President Erdoğan and the people of Turkey on the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey and October 29 Republic Day. Thanking President İlham Aliyev President Erdoğan stated that Turkey will continue to stand by Azerbaijan. During the conversation, bilateral relations as well as regional developments, Nagorno-Karabakh in particular, were also discussed.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan wished Lailat al Mawlid to be auspicious.  Along with Poet Ali Ulvi Kurucu’s lines regarding our Prophet on Twitter, President Erdoğan shared the footage recorded while he was voicing the same lines in a past program, and the message “May our Lailat al Mawlid be auspicious”. At the end of the footage, President Erdoğan gave a place to the following message, “May the Lailat al Mawlid of the whole Islamic world and our nation be auspicious”.
