Meeting of the Ministers and High Officials in charge of Information and Media of Turkic Council to be held tomorrow in Baku

Meeting of the Ministers and High Officials in charge of Information and Media of the Turkic Council will be held in Baku, the Azerbaijani capital, on April 10, 2021. The delegation from Türkiye, chaired by the Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun, will be joined by Erkan Zoral, Türkiye's Ambassador to Baku, and Serdar Karagöz, Board Chairman and Director-General of Anadolu Agency (AA).

Meeting of Ministers and High Officials in charge of Information and Media of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council) will take place in Baku tomorrow with the participation of Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Hungary.

The delegation from Türkiye will be chaired by Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun and will be joined by Erkan Zoral, Türkiye's Ambassador to Baku, and Serdar Karagöz, Board Chairman and Director-General of Anadolu Agency (AA), at the third annual meeting, to be held this year.

Following the opening remarks by Turkic Council Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev, will address the participants on behalf of the host country at the meeting.

Along with Director of Communications Altun, Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan Kairat Imanaliev, Director of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan Asadjon Khodjayev, Vice Minister of Information and Social Development of Kazakhstan Askhat Oralov, and State Secretary for Security Policies of Hungary Peter Sztaray will deliver a speech during the meeting.

During the meeting, which will focus on developing an action plan to strengthen cooperation in the fields of media and information among member states, topics such as enhancing screen sharing among national television channels, developing films, series, and documentaries about shared history and culture, establishing an international Turkic news channel, and broadening the cooperation perspective will be discussed.
