Presidency's Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran met with Khaled Fawaz Zaarour, Minister of Information of Syria, who is visiting Türkiye for TRT World Forum 2026.
In a post on his NSosyal account regarding the meeting, Head of Communications Duran stated:
“On the occasion of TRT World Forum 2026, we met with Khaled Fawaz Zaarour, Minister of Information of Syria, who is visiting Türkiye, and his accompanying delegation.
We exchanged views on opportunities for cooperation between our countries in the fields of media and communications.
We believe that strengthening institutional capacity, reinforcing communications infrastructure and fostering mutual expertise-sharing will be important in Syria’s reconstruction process.
I hope that the bonds of friendship and good neighbourly relations between Türkiye and Syria will continue to develop in all areas. I would like to thank the Minister and his delegation for the meeting.”
