Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun issued a message on the occasion of Disability Week from May 10 to 16.
The post shared by Director of Communications Altun on his Twitter account also included a special video series titled "Achievements Overcoming Obstacles", prepared by the Presidency's Directorate of Communications to raise awareness, reflecting success stories of citizens with disabilities. Altun noted the following:
"There are no barriers between us when it comes to overcoming obstacles and sharing life. Happy Disability Week (May 10-16) for all our citizens who have achieved their goals and dreams despite the obstacles they have encountered."

Setting out with the theme "There is Support, No Obstacles", the video films that convey the stories of successful citizens in various fields who have overcome obstacles are intended to inspire other individuals who may not have recognized their talent.
Young veterinarian Onur Kemer, who has achieved his dreams with state assistance; Harun Reşit Deveci, who has overcome obstacles to become the owner of his own business; Murat Yurtçu, who has autism and can play ten instruments professionally; and Miray Vildan Sakallı, who has set new goals in her life thanks to the archery sport she has met, are among the heroes of the video films, which include the stories of İrem Fitoz who combines her musical ear with the vision of her heart, and national swimmer Fatma Çağla Demir, who has Down syndrome and has achieved many successes in the competitions she has participated.
