Speaking at a joint press conference with President Zelenskyy of Ukraine, President Erdoğan said: “The negotiations we hosted between Ukraine and Russia have demonstrated that concrete results can be achieved through diplomacy. At this point, we maintain that there are no losers in a just peace. I would like to underscore that we stand ready to make every effort within our power to pave the way for peace.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine held a joint press conference following their meeting at Dolmabahçe Presidential Office in Istanbul.
“I once again extend my condolences to President Zelenskyy and the friendly people of Ukraine for those who lost their lives in the war. During our talks today, we discussed in detail the recent increasing efforts to bring about peace in Ukraine and the security situation in the Black Sea. We are pleased that efforts to bring the war to an end through diplomatic means, particularly thanks to the efforts of U.S. President Trump, have regained momentum. The negotiations we hosted between Ukraine and Russia have demonstrated that concrete results can be achieved through diplomacy. At this point, we maintain that there are no losers in a just peace. I would like to underscore that we stand ready to make every effort within our power to pave the way for peace,” President Erdoğan said.
