President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo of the Democratic Republic of the Congo on the sidelines of the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
The leaders addressed bilateral relations between Türkiye and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as well as regional and global issues.
Stating that efforts to further develop bilateral relations, particularly by increasing the trade volume between the two countries, will continue, President Erdoğan emphasized that steps will be taken to deepen cooperation.
President Erdoğan also expressed Türkiye’s support for efforts aimed at ensuring lasting peace and stability in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
President Erdoğan noted that a significant number of ongoing conflicts in our region are driven by Israel’s aggressive and threatening posture, and reiterated that Türkiye continues its efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
