Türkiye and Iraq sign five agreements

Five agreements were signed between the two countries in the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi of Iraq.

Following the tête-à-tête meeting between President Erdoğan and Prime Minister al-Zaidi at the Presidential Complex and the inter-delegation meeting they co-chaired, the agreements between the two countries were signed.

Within this framework, the “Memorandum of Understanding on Educational and Academic Cooperation Between Turkish National Police Academy and Iraqi Police College” was signed by President of the Turkish National Police Academy Murat Balcı and General Abdul-Amir Shammari, Chief of Staff to the Iraqi Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

The “Annexe – Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Fields of Youth and Sport Between the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Iraq and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye” was signed by Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein of Iraq.

The “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Industrial Property Between the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Planning of the Republic of Iraq” was signed by Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır and Minister of Finance Falih al-Sari of Iraq.

The “Memorandum of Understanding Between the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Iraq on Railway and Road Transport Through Ovaköy–Fishkhabur” and the “Framework Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Türkiye and the Republic of Iraq on the Development of Transport Infrastructure within the Republic of Iraq in Exchange for Natural Resources” were signed by Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu and Minister of Transport Wahab Salman Mohammed of Iraq.
