Statement regarding President Erdoğan’s meeting with Prime Minister Pashinyan of Armenia

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in New York for the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, met with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia at the Turkish House.

The meeting addressed the normalization between Türkiye and Armenia as well as the peace processes between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Stating that Türkiye supports the establishment of lasting peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the establishment of a robust friendship between the two countries in the period ahead, President Erdoğan noted that efforts to facilitate this are ongoing.

Expressing that significant progress has been made on the path to unconditional normalization between Türkiye and Armenia, President Erdoğan voiced his sincere support for the continuation of the dialogue process.
