President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a press conference following the Presidential Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Complex.
“Borders of our region are being sought to be redrawn with blood and tears”
Stating that very significant political, economic and diplomatic crises are occurring in the region and the world, President Erdoğan noted: “We see that the borders of our region are being sought to be redrawn with blood and tears. No matter what direction, from Gaza to Lebanon and Yemen to Sudan, we look at, we are faced with different scenes of the same game. We as Türkiye endeavor to foil these games on one hand, and to consolidate our 23-year-long achievements on the other. Praise be to Allah, today, there is a Türkiye which has a strong diplomacy, which makes history in defense industry, and which is an island of stability amid regional tensions. And what lie behind all this besides our nation’s prayers and support are the experienced, sagacious and visionary cadres on duty for 23 years in Türkiye. We all can clearly understand its value when we look at the crises that erupt each passing day right beyond our borders.”
“We have only one concern, and it is Türki̇ye”
President Erdoğan said: “We are well aware of the fact that we as the government and the alliance have assumed a historic responsibility in a period when historic transformations are taking place. Therefore, we do not have any time for anger, quarrels or polemics. Also, we do not have the luxury of responding to everyone who taunts us. We have only one concern, and it is Türkiye and the construction of the Century of Türkiye.”
Underscoring that no one has the right to distract Türkiye or disrupt the harmony of the Turkish nation, President Erdoğan stressed that all Türkiye needs is to meet at a common denominator regarding the issues concerning the 86 million, the terror-free Türkiye process in particular, and added: “It is the duty of the political institution to address the terror-free Türkiye process away from any kind of polemics, and to sincerely contribute to the solution efforts. As has been the case thus far, we as the government and the alliance will take care to be constructive, inclusive and unifying. While doing this, we will prioritize the interests of our nation and hold Türkiye’s future above any kind of political consideration.”
