President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sent a message to the International Investors Association's (YASED) 39th and 40th General Assembly.
President Erdoğan noted in a message to YASED's 39th and 40th General Assembly that he has been closely following the association's contributions to Türkiye's progress, improvement, and increase in employment.
Erdoğan expressed his gratitude for YASED's successful efforts to bring in more international investment to Türkiye and to support investors, and made the following remarks:
"I believe that YASED's contribution to our efforts to make Türkiye one of the world's top ten economies by achieving our 2023 goals will continue to grow. The most recent data on our country, particularly in terms of growth, production, and exports, reveal that the Turkish economy has taken on a new momentum during the pandemic. Türkiye maintains this success, having emerged from 2020, a year in which the world's economies endured severe setbacks, with a growth rate of 1.8 per cent. The first and second quarters of 2021 saw growth rates of 7.2 per cent and 21.7 per cent, respectively, demonstrating the Turkish economy's strength and dynamism. International investors are growing increasingly interested as a result of this achievement."

President Erdoğan indicated that Türkiye has become the second country in Central and Eastern Europe to receive the highest amount of international direct investment in the last 16 years, adding, "This is the most concrete indicator of trust in Türkiye and the Turkish economy."
President Erdoğan stated that during their talks with senior executives of US corporations in New York, they came across a similar picture and noted the following:
"We've noticed that our country's name is coming up more often when people are looking for alternative destinations to Asia's production and supply networks. I am confident that, with the assistance of our knowledgeable and experienced institutions in the industry, such as YASED, we will be able to turn this growing interest in investments for Türkiye into an opportunity. I would like you to know that our relevant ministers and the Presidency's Investment Office will always be with you at all times during this process."
President Erdoğan conveyed his best wishes for YASED General Assembly's success.
