President Erdoğan stated, “We are conducting an intensive diplomacy in the international arena regarding the recent developments in Afghanistan and irregular migration,” and he added, "We will continue to take all necessary steps to ensure stability in our region, to protect our country from immigration pressure, and to maintain our nation's peace."
In his post, President Erdoğan also shared an infographic regarding the messages he conveyed to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis of Greece, President Vladimir Putin of Russia, Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany, Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi of Iraq, Prime Minister Boris Johnson of the United Kingdom, President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine and President of the European Council Charles Michel.
