President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with President Donald J. Trump of the United States of America.
The leaders discussed the Türkiye-U.S. bilateral relations, the latest situation in Syria, the Gaza Board of Peace works, trade relations, particularly defense industry, as well as regional and global matters.
Noting that they will continue to take steps to enhance the cooperation between Türkiye and the U.S., President Erdoğan said that it is in both countries' interest to further advance the relations in all spheres.
Stating that Türkiye attaches great importance to the full implementation of the ceasefire and integration agreement in its neighbour Syria, President Erdoğan noted that they are closely monitoring the situation in this regard in coordination with the U.S. and Syria.
Voicing his hope that the Gaza Board of Peace will accomplish auspicious works, President Erdoğan expressed his belief that ending the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza and rebuilding Gaza will pave the way for lasting peace in our region.
