President Erdoğan, Prime Minister Garibashvili of Georgia talk over phone

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili of Georgia.

The call addressed Türkiye-Georgia relations and regional issues.

President Erdogan thanked Prime Minister Garibashvili, who wished a speedy recovery to Türkiye for the forest fires and expressed Georgia's support for Türkiye's fight against the fires.

Underscoring that the strategic partnership between Türkiye and Georgia became more meaningful during those days, President Erdoğan stated that Türkiye saw Georgia as the key to regional cooperation.

Drawing attention to the importance of acting in coordination, particularly for the productivity and security of regional transportation and energy supply lines, President Erdoğan expressed his desire to revive at leaders' level the Türkiye-Azerbaijan-Georgia trilateral mechanism which had been successfully carried out by ministers and deputies.
