President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran.
The leaders discussed bilateral relations between Türkiye and Iran, as well as the escalating military tension in the region.
During the call, President Erdoğan emphasised that Türkiye stands ready to assume a facilitating role between Iran and the United States in order to de-escalate tension and resolve issues.
President Erdoğan also noted that he would receive the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs today, who is visiting our country.
