President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran.
The leaders discussed the Türkiye-Iran bilateral relations as well as regional and global developments.
Describing the agreement reached between Iran and the U.S. as pleasing, President Erdoğan said that Türkiye will do its utmost in order for the process to end with peace, drawing attention to the importance of being careful with those seeking to sabotage negotiations.
Stating that it is important and necessary to take steps that will strengthen regional peace in the new period, President Erdoğan noted that Türkiye will work to that end.
President Erdoğan added that Türkiye will continue to take steps aimed at enhancing its trade, financial and energy cooperation with Iran as well.
