President Erdoğan meets with President Zelenskyy of Ukraine

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine, who is paying a visit to Türkiye, at the Dolmabahçe Presidential Office in Istanbul.

The meeting addressed Türkiye-Ukraine bilateral relations, the Ukraine-Russia peace process as well as regional and global issues.

During the meeting, President Erdoğan emphasized that Türkiye’s support for negotiations between Ukraine and Russia will continue, and underlined that the region requires greater peace and stability.

President Erdoğan also stated that Türkiye attaches great importance to the safety of navigation in the Black Sea and highlighted the significance of energy supply security.

President Erdoğan further noted Türkiye’s determination to expand its trade relations with Ukraine, and reiterated that the necessary steps to this end will continue to be taken.

In addition, President Erdoğan expressed his satisfaction with Ukraine’s efforts to strengthen and further develop its relations with Gulf countries.
