President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with Interim President Assimi Goita of Mali.
Bilateral relations and regional matters were discussed during the talk.
Noting that Türkiye would always support the friendly and brotherly people of Mali, President Erdoğan stated that Türkiye wanted stability, security and economic development in Mali, and that it was of critical importance that constitutional order be restored as soon as possible and democratic elections be held in Mali.
Voicing Türkiye’s desire to strengthen economic and commercial relations and to enhance cooperation especially in the areas of military and defence industry, President Erdoğan said that Türkiye stood ready to share its experiences in combatting terror with the friendly and brotherly Mali.
President Erdoğan expressed Türkiye’s determination to continue to strengthen cooperation on this area with Mali and regional countries via bilateral and multilateral mechanisms.
