President Erdoğan chairs meeting on mucilage problem in Marmara Sea

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan chaired a meeting held with the participation of an academic delegation formed by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) to find a solution to the mucilage (sea snot) problem occurring in the Marmara Sea.

Briefed by the expert academic delegation led by YÖK President Yekta Saraç about the scientific researches of the academics within the delegation on the mucilage problem and their solution offers, President Erdoğan said the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) and other relevant institutions had been immediately mobilized for the problem , and that the cleaning works in different areas both on the land and in the sea had been continuing since last Tuesday.
