Presidency's Directorate of Communications released a public service announcement titled "Thanks to You", which was prepared for the July 15 martyrs on the occasion of July 15, Democracy and National Unity Day.
Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun shared the public service announcement in his social media account, along with the verses of the National Anthem "For freedom is the absolute right of my ever-free flag; For independence is the absolute right of my God-worshipping nation!", and stated:
"If the wind from the Bosphorus still fills our lungs, or if we go out on a summer evening and walk, if we can have a conversation with friends like before, if we can hold glorious weddings altogether, if we have the courage to shed light on the future and faith to embrace, if we have crops in the field and hope for every baby born and if our star and crescent flag waves proudly every time we look at it, it's all thanks to you."
The public service announcement, which included President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's very own words, "Greetings to every member of my nation who defends their state, democracy, and future," concluded with the following messages: "We are grateful to all our martyrs and veterans who defended this homeland at the cost of their lives from Çanakkale to July 15," and "Victory of Democracy."
