Hikmet Hajiyev receives Deputy Head of Communications Ferhat Pirinççi and accompanying delegation

Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Hikmet Hajiyev, received the Presidency's Deputy Head of Communications, Ferhat Pirinççi, and the accompanying delegation from the Directorate of Communications.

During the meeting, an invitation from Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran was conveyed to Hikmet Hajiyev to visit Türkiye. The discussion focused on cooperation in communications, media, and public diplomacy, within the context of the deep-rooted brotherly ties and strategic alliance between Türkiye and Azerbaijan.

The meeting underscored the importance of institutional cooperation between the two countries in strategic communication. The parties also exchanged views on the evolving global communications landscape, efforts to counter disinformation, public diplomacy activities, and strengthening Türkiye and Azerbaijan’s capacity to communicate with international audiences on issues of common concern.

The meeting also addressed regional developments and the importance of strategic communication in the process of establishing lasting peace and stability in the South Caucasus. The meeting highlighted the importance of strong solidarity between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, not only for bilateral relations but also for regional cooperation and stability.

The parties emphasised the significance of further strengthening Türkiye-Azerbaijan relations in communications, in line with the principle of “two states, one nation” and the alliance spirit embodied in the Shusha Declaration.

During the meeting, which Türkiye’s Ambassador to Baku, Birol Akgün, also attended, the parties exchanged views on maintaining contact and joint efforts between the relevant institutions of the two countries.
